John and Margie are Participating Artists in the first Amnesty International Human Rights Art Festival
that will be held in Silver Spring, MD (just outside of Washington D.C.) from April 23-25, 2010.
This multi-venue, multi-media event will bring together artists, local businesses and
politicians to use socially transformative art to raise awareness of human rights and
justice issues, as well as the important work of Amnesty International.

Margie and John donated art to help the
Earthquake Disaster Relief efforts in Haiti
All funds were sent directly to
Mercy Corps (www.mercycorps.org)
and designated to the immediate
relief of the Haitian people

“Digital-Still-Imaging 2009:
An Indian Documentary of the
Electronic Arts Retrospective”
Twenty-eight artists from thirteen countries participated in ‘Retrospective of Digital-Still-Imaging from ‘ The IDEA’ series of
CD-Gazettes (2000-2005). The art works were displayed at the 4th annual
Carnival of e-Creativity in the sylvan
spaces of Sattal Estate, just above
Bhimtal, near Nainital, in the
Lower Kumaon of the new Himalayan
Indian state of Uttarakhand. |

In November of 2008
Margie's work: Life, Death, and Wishes

was exhibited in the
"Independents Liverpool Biennial."

Hearing Now
|
John and Margie had a combined
artwork in the juried Italian exhibition:
Sguardi Sonori 2008.
"Hearing Now" traveled to five locations:
Lanificio Conte in Schio, Vicenza;
the Orsini Palace in Bomarzo, Viterbo;
the Villa d’Este in Tivoli, Rome;
the Castle of Benevento, best known as Rocca dei Rettori; and the Casoria Contemporary Art Museum in Casoria, Naples.
The work is now in the permanent collection of the Casoria Contemporary Art Museum

In the fall of 2007, John and Margie were part of a
seven artist invitational exhibition at
Tryon, North Carolina's
prestigious gallery: Upstairs Artspace.
The title of the exhibition,
"Where in the World,"
was based on artists' work being
influenced by international experiences.

On May 24, 2006 John and Margie had an exhibtion and
gave a lecture on their work for the
National Chengchi University's College of Communication, Taipei, Taiwan.

Taipei, Taiwan
The exhibition was called:

From March 14 - 30, 2006
John and Margie were part of a 7 artist
invitational exhibition, along with
five Taiwanese artists, at KDMOFA, the
Kuandu Museum of Fine Art,
Beitou, Taiwan.
"Just to Push One Button?
the Possible Perspectives of
DIgital Graphic Fine Artists"
John also wrote the exhibition
catalog essay called:
"So what about computer based
artwork anyway?"

In January 2006
Margie's work was selected for
"The Donnie 2006"
sixth annual digital art contest of the MOCA, Museum of Computer Art,
Brooklyn, New York.

On January 7, 2006 John and Margie had an exhibition opening with their Taiwanese digital fine art students.
Four of the Labadie's works were featured
for a gallery talk at the "NCCU 2006
Conference on Creativity in Education and Commerce."
About 45 student works were exhibited in the
Commerce Building Gallery in the first
NCCU Student Exhibition,
December 15, 2005 through January 15, 2006.
All works are now on permanent display in a new student lounge gallery in
the Jin Tang Education Building at National ChengChi University, Muzha, Taiwan.

On November 26th, 2005
John and Margie exhibited their work and gave a lecture titled:
"Transmedia:
Linking Traditional and Digital Fine Art"
for students and faculty of the
Taipei National University of the Arts,
Beitou, Taiwan.

John and Margie had an exhibition
of their digital work at
Chung Yuan Christian University,
Chung Li, Taiwan.
On October 27, they gave a lecture on
Digital Fine Art for CYCU faculty and students. |

In November of 2005, John had his work exhibited in La Muestra Internacional de Arte Digital in Venado Tuerto, Argentina. |
|

In the summer of 2005,
John had two works shown in the Computer Graphics, Imaging and Vision International Conference Gallery held in Beijing. |

In the summer of 2005, John had two works exhibited in London at the Information Visualization 9th International Conference,
